(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 16 - The level of the Lambro river in
Milan is still concerning after it broke its banks causing
extensive flooding in the northern city on Wednesday, officials
said Thursday.
The water level is just below emergency levels, they said.
The weather should create a window of time for the water to
recede further, but a worsening is feared in the evening, they
said.
Another Milan river, the Seveso, also broke its banks Wednesday
leading to the flood-linked closure of many schools and
kindergartens. (ANSA).
