(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 17 - A male ex-colleague of a 33-year-old
female former municipal police officer who was shot dead on
Thursday in the town of Anzola Emilia, near Bologna, was
detained overnight in relation to the murder, sources said on
Friday.
Sofia Stefani, 33, was killed in the town's municipal police
station.
Giampiero Gualandi, the 63-year-old former head of the local
municipal police, is accused of using his service gun to kill
her.
Italy has been hit by an alarming spate of femicides. (ANSA).
