(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 24 - Over half of the Italian population,
57.4%, have trouble making their salaries last until the end of
the month, research institute Eurispes said in its 'Italy 2024
Report' on Friday.
It said that paying rent was a problem for 45.5% of households,
while 32.1% had difficulties with their mortgages and 33.1%
struggled to find the money for bills.
It said around 32.1% of Italian people need to ask relatives for
help in order to make ends meet, while 42.7% have to pay for
purchases in installments.
The report said 28.3% forgo medical treatment, dental work or
check-ups because they cannot afford them. (ANSA).
