Consumer confidence up, business confidence down - Istat

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 29 - Consumer confidence rose in Italy this month, but business confidence fell, Istat said on Wednesday.
    The national statistics agency said its consumer-confidence index increased from 95. 2 to 96.4 in May.
    But it said that the IESI (Istat Economic Sentiment Indicator) business index dropped from 95.2 to 96.4. It added that the index for the construction sector decreased from 103.3 to 101.6, taking it to the lowest level since November 2022. (ANSA).
