(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 30 - Two 18-year-old students took their school's defibrillator to a nearby bar where they saved a pensioner's life after he went into a cardiac arrest that was flagged on their phone apps in Modena Wednesday, local media reported Thursday.
The pair, a male volunteer in the public assistance association AVA and a female Blue Cross volunteer, rushed to the bar as soon as their phones pinged. Their devices were linked to the local 118 emergency services hotline.
The pensioner was taken to hospital where he is said to be comfortable. (ANSA).
