(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 10 - Premier Giorgia Meloni hailed the
showing of her right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party in the
European elections after projections showed it was set to come
first in Italy with over 27% of the vote, even higher than the
26% it registered in the 2022 general election.
"Brothers of Italy has kept its place as the top Italian party,
surpassing the result of the last general election," Meloni said
in a social media post featuring a photo of her making the V for
victory sign with her fingers.
