(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 10 - Italy's centre-left Democratic Party
(PD) has become the lead party in the Socialists and Democrats
(S&D) caucus in the European parliament with 21 MEPs, overtaking
Spain's PSOE who are stuck on 20.
Germany's SPD party has fallen to 14 members.
The caucus will be formally instated on June 25.
