(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 1 - US investment fund KKR's purchase of
TIM's grid company Netco is the first part of a jigsaw puzzle
that will solve Italy's historic problems, Economy Minister
Giancarlo Giorgetti said after the deal's closing Monday.
"Today's closing is the first part of the puzzle of a solution
to the historic problems of this country and a key move to
readjust the Italian telecommunications system," he said.
"The government is intervening in a strategic sector, with a
great industrial policy operation which, among other things,
makes TIM and its workers safe". (ANSA).
