(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 4 - A Carabinieri general was arrested
Thursday for bribery and corruption.
Oreste Liporace, commander of the second regiment of Carabinieri
cadets, marshals, and brigadiers in Velletri (Rome) was arrested
on suspicion of corruption, bribery and false invoices on a
contract worth almost 700 thousand euro for cleaning services in
the barracks entrusted to the company Fabbro until 2021.
According to the order issued by the gip Domenico Santoro, the
general was allegedly bribed with 22 thousand euro, luxury bags,
car rentals, and tickets for the Olympic stadium in Rome, where
AS Roma and SS Lazio play, and for the La Scala opera house in
Milan. (ANSA).
