(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 4 - The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office
on Thursday requested the committal for trial of Tourism
Minister Daniela Santanchè and 16 other people for false
accounting in the Visibilia case, the group founded by the
ruling Brothers of Italy (FdI) senator and from which she
divested herself of offices and shares in 2022.
The others include her companion Dimitri Kunz, her sister
Fiorella Garnero and her niece Silvia Garnero, as well as three
companies in the investigation.
In the first instalment of the Visibilia affair, in which
Santanchè and two other people, including Kunz, and two
companies are accused of aggravated fraud against INPS social
security and pensions agency on the lay-off fund during the
Covid period, the preliminary hearing has been set for 9
October.
Santanchè has resisted calls to resign over the cases. (ANSA).
