(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 6 - Jannik Sinner said he was glad to be
into the last 16 at Wimbledon after beating Serbia's Miomir
Kecmanović in straight sets Thursday night.
"I'm happy with my performance," said the 22-year-old world
number one after beating the 24-year-old world number 53 by 6-1,
6-4, 6-2 in just over an hour and a half.
"It was a big day on Centre COurt, I'm happy to have ended the
match quickly, and I'm ready to recuperate for the next round".
The South Tyrolean Aussie Open champ will next play either Denis
Shapovalov or Ben Shelton on Sunday. (ANSA).
