(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 18 - A national four-hour strike by unions
representing public-transport workers caused major disruption
for commuters in Italian cities on Thursday, with traffic even
more intense than usual as many were forced to use their cars to
get to work.
All of Milan's metro lines were closed during the strike, while
two out of three were in Rome, while several stations were shut
on the line that remained open.
The strike was called in relation to the renewal of the sector's
collective contract. (ANSA).
