Israeli, US, Qatari, Egyptian officials to meet in Rome

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 27 - Mossad chief David Barnea, CIA Director William Burns, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdel Rahman al-Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamal are to meet in Rome on Sunday for talks on a truce in the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas, according to multiple media reports.
    The truce would reportedly be linked to an agreement on the release of the hostages taken by Hamas in the horrific October 7 attacks in exchange for the freedom of Palestinians held in Israel. (ANSA).
