(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 6 - Team Italy has won nine gold medals so
far at the 2024 Paris Olympics with gymnast Alice D'Amato
triumphing in the balance beam and Diana Bacosi and Gabriele
Rossetti beating Americans Austen Smith and Vincent Hancock
45-44 in the final of the mixed team skeet shooting on Monday.
The other Italian gymnast in the final, Manila Esposito,
clinched bronze.
Bacosi and Rossetti clinched their second gold as they both won
the individual skeet titles at Rio 2016, while Bacosi also won
silver at the Tokyo Olympics.
Monday's results took Italy's medal tally up to 25, including 10
silvers and six bronzes.
In the men's volleyball, Italy staged an epic comeback to beat
Japan 20-25, 23-25, 27-25, 26-26,17-15 and reach the
semi-finals. (ANSA).
