(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 10 - Gianmarco Tamberi said Saturday he
had coughed up blood from a fresh attack of renal colic linked
to kidney stones and his participation in Saturday night's high
jump, where he had been looking to defend his Tokyo Olympic
title, was in strong doubt.
"Even what was my last certainty is about to vanish.
"It's been 10 hours and the kidney colic still hasn't gone
away.... The pain I've been feeling since this morning, as
strong as it is, is nothing compared to what I'm feeling inside
now". (ANSA).
