(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 12 - Premier Giorgia Meloni will be spending her summer holiday in the countryside of Ceglie Messapica near Brindisi, in the southern region of Puglia.
The prime minister on Sunday night dined at the luxury resort of Borgo Egnazia which she chose to host the G7 earlier this year.
Meloni will be relaxing with daughter Ginevra, her sister Arianna and brother in law Francesco Lollobrigida, the agriculture minister, as well as possibly her former partner and the father of her daughter, journalist Andrea Giambruno, according to a recent interview the premier gave to Chi magazine.
Health Undersecretary Marcello Gemmato, who is from Puglia, is expected to visit her.
Deputy Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, leader of the League party, is also holidaying in the Puglia area of Salento and could meet with Meloni at the luxury resort of Masseria Beneficio where she is staying to discuss the government's agenda in a more relaxed climate and surrounded by olive groves, well informed sources have said.
Meanwhile President Sergio Mattarella has travelled to Alto Adige with his daughter and son in law to spend a few days of rest in the mountains. (ANSA).
