(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 12 - Premier Giorgia Meloni will be
spending her summer holiday in the countryside of Ceglie
Messapica near Brindisi, in the southern region of Puglia.
The prime minister on Sunday night dined at the luxury resort of
Borgo Egnazia which she chose to host the G7 earlier this year.
Meloni will be relaxing with daughter Ginevra, her sister
Arianna and brother in law Francesco Lollobrigida, the
agriculture minister, as well as possibly her former partner and
the father of her daughter, journalist Andrea Giambruno,
according to a recent interview the premier gave to Chi
magazine.
Health Undersecretary Marcello Gemmato, who is from Puglia, is
expected to visit her.
Deputy Premier and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini, leader of
the League party, is also holidaying in the Puglia area of
Salento and could meet with Meloni at the luxury resort of
Masseria Beneficio where she is staying to discuss the
government's agenda in a more relaxed climate and surrounded by
olive groves, well informed sources have said.
Meanwhile President Sergio Mattarella has travelled to Alto
Adige with his daughter and son in law to spend a few days of
rest in the mountains. (ANSA).
