(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 16 - Carabinieri police in Partinico,
Sicily, said Friday they are investigating an alleged case of
sexual assault reported by a 19-year-old French tourist.
The teen told investigators that she was attacked in the night
of Ferragosto on Thursday by a 27-year-old man on a beach in
Balestrate before she was able to flee.
The tourist was taken to the hospital of Partinico by 118
medical emergency personnel.
Carabinieri police have questioned the alleged attacker and a
few witnesses, investigative sources said. (ANSA).
