Four alleged migrant smugglers arrested in Pozzallo

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 21 - Police in the Sicilian city of Pozzallo near Ragusa have arrested four Eritrean citizens between the ages of 18 and 21 who are accused of skippering a boat with 46 migrants from Bangladesh and Eritrea on board, which departed from the Libyan port of Zuwarah before being rescued by Italian coast guards some 60 miles for the coast of Sicily.
    The four Eritreans were arrested on charges of aiding and abetting illegal immigration.
    The investigation was coordinated by the Ragusa police flying squad and the four suspects have been detained at the local prison. (ANSA).
