(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 22 - British tycoon Mike Lynch wanted to
sell his doomed luxury yacht Bayesian but changed his mind after
he was acquitted in the US in June in a criminal trial over
fraud charges regarding the acquisition of his multinational
Autonomy by US giant HP, the Daily Telegraph reported on
Thursday, quoting sources in the nautical sector.
The website of the Daily Telegraph reported that the magnate had
put the superyacht on the market in March and had changed his
mind only last month.
He intended to spend the summer on the boat and then reconsider
the decision to sell it in the fall.
The body of the British tech magnate was recovered from the
wreck of the yacht that sank at dawn on Monday off the coast of
Porticello, near Palermo, rescue services said Thursday.
Lynch's daughter Hannah, 18, remains the only missing passenger
after four bodies were recovered by divers on Wednesday from the
Bayesian, identified as Jonathan Bloomer, president of Morgan
Stanley International, his wife Anne Elizabeth, Lynch's lawyer
Chris Morvillo and his wife Nada.
The body of another victim, chef Recaldo Thomas, was recovered
on Monday.
Fifteen passengers survived the shipwreck. (ANSA).
