(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 23 - A German hiker's body was found on
the Gran Sasso Friday after the young man disappeared on Italy's
biggest mountain outside the Alps a few days ago.
A team of 'forristi' (gorge rescue technicians) from the
Soccorso Alpino e Speleologico (Alpine and Speleological Rescue
Service) located the body of the man along the Fossaceca gorge
on Mount Prena.
Recovery operations are underway. (ANSA).
