(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 24 - Bayesian captain James Catfield, 51, a very experienced New Zealand-born sailor, is to be questioned again amid the possibility of facing charges of negligent manslaughter in failing to allegedly secure British tech tycoon Mike Lynch's superyacht that sank in a freak windspout near Palermo Monday killing seven people including 59-year-old Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, Termini Imerese prosecutor Ambrogio Cartosio said Saturday.
"The commander of the Bayesian will not be able to leave Sicily for the time being because he will have to be heard again," said Cartosio.
Another prosecutor, Raffaele Cammarano, said that "it was a sudden and abrupt event" that at the moment there is no certainty that there is a black box and that it cannot be confirmed whether the hatches were open.
Cammarano also reported that 'there was a crewman on the bridge when the cloudburst occurred.
According to the fire brigade, the mega sailing ship sank from the stern. (ANSA).
