(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 24 - Pope Francis on Saturday blessed one
of Italy's main NGO-run migrant rescue ships.
The Pope sent a message to Father Mattia Ferrari, parish priest
of Mediterranea Saving Humans NGO, on board the Mare Jonio ship,
with his "blessing to the crew of Mediterranea Saving Humans and
to Migrantes", the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI) foundation.
"I pray for you," Francis wrote, thanking the NGO engaged in
rescuing migrants, "for your testimony", and also invoking the
blessing of God and Our Lady, Vatican News reported. (ANSA).
