(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 24 - Very intense traffic was registered
on the Italian motorway network on the day of the 'great
re-entry' from summer holidays for many Italians.
Big tailbacks were reported everywhere and some accidents caused
by tailgating.
In all, the intensity of traffic was said to be 2% higher than
the same day last summer.
Motorists were sweltering the muggy 'afa' heat. (ANSA).
