(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 27 - The Amerigo Vespucci historic Italian navy training and sailing ship "is a symbol of the Italian system, which we as General Commissariat for Italy at the 2025 Expo Osaka bring as a crew to recount our country, make it better known and make it admired," said Ambassador Mario Vattani, General Commissioner for Italy at the Osaka Expo, in commenting the signing with the Foreign Trade Agency (ICE) of an accord to boost Made in Italy exports and favour business opportunities for Italian firms during the 2025 event.
"We signed with ICE a very important accord that comes a few months before the start of this great global appointment," said the diplomat, "where Italy presents itself with an exceptional pavilion designed by Mario Cucinella and about which, in two days' time here in Tokyo, we will recount the contents that are linked both to our culture and also to our history, our high tech, our research and innovation.
"That is the essence of the message and the mission in Japan," he added to ANSA, "to make Italian innovation known to a people and to an entire region.". (ANSA).
