(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 1 - Pope Francis said in his weekly
Angelus prayer on Sunday that he thought with concern about the
"conflict in Palestine, Israel which risks to widen to other
Palestinian cities".
"I launch an appeal for negotiations not to stop and for an
immediate ceasefire.
"Hostages must be released.
"The population in Gaza must be rescued as many diseases,
including poliomyelitis are spreading there", stated the
pontiff. (ANSA).
