(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 1 - Jannik Sinner has raced into the last
16 beating 87th-ranked Christopher O'Connell 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 at
the US Open.
The 23-year-old world number one on Saturday easily won in three
sets against expert Australian player O'Connell (6-1, 6-4, 6-2).
A day earlier, four-time champion Novak Djokovic lost to Alexei
Popyrin while 2022 winner Carlos Alcaraz was previously defeated
by Dutch player Botic van de Zandschulp. (ANSA).
