(ANSA) - PALERMO, SEP 2 - Autopsies on the bodies of two of the victims of last month's shipwreck of the Bayesian luxury yacht off Porticello, near Palermo, the lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda, confirmed that they drowned, sources said on Monday.
Seven people died in the shipwreck on August 19, including the yacht's owner, British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah.
The yacht went down after being hit by an extreme weather event described by authorities investigating the accident as a downburst.
All the victims were passengers except for the boat's cook Recaldo Thomas.
Three crew members are under investigation in Italy for suspected multiple negligent manslaughter and causing a shipwreck, including captain James Cutfield.
The autopsies of two other victims, Jonathan Bloomer, the non-executive chairman of Morgan Stanley International, and his wife Anne Elizabeth Judith, are set to take place on Wednesday.
The authorities have not yet assigned coroners to do the autopsies of the other victims. (ANSA).
