Two mountaineers die on Marmolada

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 4 - Two Italian mountaineers have died on the route to the summit of the Marmolada, the highest peak in the Dolomites, rescuers said Wednesday.
    Operations are underway to recover the bodies, which have reportedly been located by rescuers.
    The alarm was reportedly raised by the wife of one of them, who had not seen him return.
    Search operations are in progress in the area by the Alpine Rescue with a helicopter. (ANSA).
