(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 7 - Spain's Jorge Martin of the Ducati
Pramac team extended his lead over Italy's double world champion
Francesco Bagnaia at the top of the MotoGP standings to 26
points by winning the sprint race at the San Marino and Rimini
Riviera Grand Prix on Saturday.
Ducati factory team rider Bagnaia came second in the 13-lap
sprint at Misano Adriatico.
Bagnaia will start Sunday's main event in pole position after
clocking the fastest time in qualifying earlier on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who is carrying several injuries he suffered in
a crash at last weekend's Aragon Grand Prix, will be joined by
fellow Italians Franco Morbidelli of the Ducati Pramac team and
Marco Bezzecchi of the Ducati VR46 team on the front row of the
grid.
