(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 9 - The 2025 budget bill will continue the
"serious" approach the government has adopted so far with the
public finances, the parties of the ruling coalition said on
Monday after their leaders met Economy Minister Giancarlo
Giorgetti at Premier Giorgia Meloni's office to discuss the
package.
Meloni, leader of the right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party,
her two deputy premiers, Transport Minister and League leader
Matteo Salvini and Foreign Minister and Forza Italia (FI) leader
Antonio, took part in the meeting along with Noi Moderati's
Maurizio Lupi.
"The intention to continue along the path of a serious, balanced
budgetary policy was reaffirmed, confirming the good things that
have been done and verifying what new things can be done,
concentrating all available resources on the priorities that
have already been outlined (families, businesses, young people
and the birth rate), putting an end, for once and for all, to
the period of (government) bonuses that have proven not to
produce results," the parties said. (ANSA).
