(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 10 - The Peloton de la gendarmerie d'haute
montagne of Chamonix on Tuesday found the bodies of two Italian
mountaineers who were reported missing on Mont Blanc amid
violent storms on Saturday.
The victims are Andrea Galimberti, 53, from Como, and Sara
Stefanelli, 41, from Genoa.
The bodies were located at an altitude of over 4,500 metres in
the area of "Mur de la Cote" that leads to the top of Mont Blanc
on the French side.
The bodies were taken to Chamonix.
The Italian climbers were last reported to be stranded near the
summit due to the extreme weather. (ANSA).
