Record employment rate in Q2 says ISTAT

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 12 - The employment rate rose to 62.2% in the second quarter of this year - the highest ever recorded in the relative quarterly national accounts, statistics bureau ISTAT said Thursday.
    Meanwhile, the unemployment rate decreased to 6.8%, the lowest level recorded after the third trimester of 2008 (6.7%).
    According to provisional data on July 2024, on a monthly basis the employment rate reached a record 62.3% while the unemployment rate was 6.5% at a historic minimum after March 2008. (ANSA).
