(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 13 - A 17-year-old detainee, an Italian
citizen, who had escaped from Milan's Beccaria juvenile prison
has been found by security forces at his home in Pavia, prison
guards' union Uilpa said on Friday.
The other two detainees of African origin who fled the juvenile
prison on September 8 are still missing.
The 17-year-old was in pre-trial detention on attempted murder
charges.
The jail breaks on September 8 were reported amid widespread
alarm about conditions and overcrowding in Italian prisons,
following a spate of suicides among inmates and a series of
episodes of unrest.
A riot also took place at Beccaria earlier this month. (ANSA).
