(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 16 - Italy's annual inflation rate was
1.1% in August, down from 1.
The national statistics agency said the drop was driven by a
decrease in the prices of non-regulated energy products, which
went from -6.0% to -8.6%.
It said its consumer-price index was 0.2% with respect to July.
In August 2024, core inflation (excluding energy and unprocessed
food) was stable at 1.9%, Istat said. (ANSA).
