(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 19 - A 44-year-old woman has been arrested
on road homicide charges for plowing into a crowd in the Tuscan
beach town of Lido di Camaiore near Lucca, killing two young
German tourists and inuring five others, judicial sources said
Thursday.
The woman tested negative to alcohol and drugs tests.
Medical sources said the two German women died instantly while
the other people hit by the car were taken to the Cisanello
hospital in Pisa with various injuries, none of them critical.
Another passenger who was sitting next to the driver on her
Mercedes car was also injured. (ANSA).
