(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 25 - Mario Vattani, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, participated in the 2024 edition of Go International©, the export services fair organized by AICE (Italian Foreign Trade Association - Confcommercio) with Trade Events. He delivered a speech during the inauguration of the fair in the panel "Export and competitiveness: the Italian System in the global market", at the Allianz MICO-FieraMilanoCity.
Now in its fourth edition, Go International© is the first trade fair in Italy entirely dedicated to the themes of export and internationalization. There are over 150 exhibitors present: from the main institutions (ICE Agency, Simest, Sace, Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, Assocamerestero, Promos) to the most renowned professionals in export consultancy and international marketing, to digital export players (Alibaba.com, Amazon Marketplace), to logistics companies, law firms, financial institutions, international marketing companies, temporary export managers, commercial offices and development agencies from various countries. In one place, everything you need to face the challenges of global markets. Over 3,000 Italian companies visited, who were able to find solutions for their international business. "Thanks to a dense network of institutional partnerships and trade associations, the Italy Pavilion presents itself in Japan as a tool of the Country System, with the aim of creating concrete opportunities for the internationalization of Italian companies" underlined the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka Mario Vattani.
"We will strengthen cooperation with Japan and the entire Asia-Pacific area, updating Italy's image, presenting projects in key sectors for economic development on technology, science and high craftsmanship. I would also like to point out that the Action Plan between Italy and Japan signed at the G7 in June, includes interventions for industrial development and investments. We will also bring to the Italy Pavilion the Made in Italy Day, established by the Government at the end of 2023, as the first event to celebrate, on the global stage of Expo, Italian know-how, our excellence and our territories".
"On behalf of AICE and the entire Confcommercio, I would like to thank Commissioner General  for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka Mario Vattani for taking part in the opening session of Go International©. It has been an opportunity to make the many Italian companies present aware of the importance that the Italy Pavilion will have during Expo 2025 Osaka to further affirm the image of Made in Italy in the world and to facilitate the access of our companies to a high-potential market such as the Japanese one," commented President Riccardo Garosci.
On the occasion of Expo 2025 Osaka, AICE and Italian Fair Service in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan - among the partners of the General Commissariat for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka - are organizing an entrepreneurial mission to Japan from 10 to 16 May 2025 with the aim of developing B2B entrepreneurial activities and international development for companies at the Italy Pavilion.
In addition to Commissioner General  for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka Mario Vattani and President Garosci, the opening of Go International© was attended by Carlo Sangalli, president of Confcommercio; Guido Guidesi, councilor for Economic Development of the Lombardy Region; Fabrizio Lobasso, Deputy Director General for the Promotion of the Country System of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Lorenzo Berneri, Director of Communication and External Relations SIMEST; Roberto Allara, Head of Sales PMI of SACE; Enzo Spoto, Director of the Customs Office of Milan 3 of the Customs and Monopolies Agency; and Giovanni Da Pozzo, President of Promos Italia.
From April 13 to October 13, Expo 2025 Osaka will be the opportunity to promote and develop the export of Italian companies in the Asia-Pacific area, a strategic area full of young and rapidly expanding markets. An opportunity not to be missed to show the "state of the art" of our country: from design to agri-food, from fashion to technology, from infrastructure, to urban planning and energy, from science to industry, with in-depth studies on aerospace, robotics, life sciences and high technology up to pharmaceuticals and biomedicine.
The General Commissariat for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka has already signed institutional and collaboration agreements with Confindustria, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, SACE, SIMEST, Fondazione Altagamma, ICE, Assolombarda, Confederazione AEPI, Unindustria, Federlazio, ANCE, and CONFAPI.
