(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 26 - An elderly couple was found dead in
the bedroom of their home near Treviso Thursday with obvious
gunshot wounds and a murder-suicide is being hypothesized.
The incident occurred in Colmaggiore di Sopra, a hamlet of Tarzo
(Treviso).
The victims were a 90-year-old man, Giancarlo Gaio, and his wife
Cesira Bianchet, 82.
According to the Carabinieri, after carrying out the first
inspections of the scene, it is probably a murder-suicide.
Leading to this hypothesis, among other things, is the fact that
a gun, regularly held by the 90-year-old for sporting use, was
found next to the bed.
It is understood from investigative sources that it was the man
who acted. (ANSA).
