(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 27 - The owner and the shift manager of a
logistics firm in Turin have been placed under investigation
after a truck driver committed suicide allegedly due to
work-related stress.
The man, who was not named, jumped out of a window to his death
last year.
Prosecutor Vincenzo Pacileo has placed in the register of
suspects the owner and administrator of the company, which is
based outside the city, and the head of the Turin office of the
company who managed the employees' shifts.
The alleged offences are manslaughter as a consequence of
violating health and safety regulations in the workplace and
labour exploitation. (ANSA).
