Tennis: Bu KO, Sinner in China final with Alcaraz

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 1 - World number one and Australian Open champ Jannik Sinner on Tuesday got to the final of the ATP 500 China Open in Beijing where he will face his Spanish friend and rival, world number three Carlos Alcaraz.
    In the semifinal, the 23-year-old South Tyrolean defeated in two sets 6-3, 7-6 the 22-year-old Chinese, in the draw with a wild card and revelation of the tournament, Yunchaokete Bu.
    Former US Open and two-time and reigning Wimbledon champ Alcaraz, 21, beat world number five Daniil Medvedev of Russia in the other semi by 7-5, 6-3.
    Sinner is waiting to know whether the Court of Arbitration for Sport will admit an appeal from the World Anti-Doping Agency against his virtual acquittal for the allegedly accidental use of a banned steroid. He may face a two-year ban. (ANSA).
