(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 2 - Transport Minister Matteo Salvini said
Wednesday he wanted to know the names and details of "those who
didn't do their jobs" after a private firm worker reportedly
hammered a nail into a cable and caused huge rail disruption due
to technical issues at Rome's Termini and Tiburtina stations.
"The engineers are working on it," Salvini told reporters
outside the Lower House.
"It is not possible to invest billions of euros to buy new
carriages, new commuter trains, intercity, high-speed trains and
all the rest and then if someone at three in the morning in Rome
hammers a nail in the wrong place, then you ruin the working day
of thousands of people.
"I have asked for names, surnames, addresses and tax codes of
those who did not do their job. When this conclusion is reached,
you will know". (ANSA).
