(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 3 - Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi on
Thursday opened a G7 meeting in the Campania city of Mirabella
Ercolano saying the first session of the gathering would be
focusing on the negative impact of conflicts in the Middle East
and Ukraine.
"The two conflicts are contributing to generate a polarization
of our societies, increasing the risk for some people to adhere
to violent ideologies and commit terror acts on our
territories", said Piantedosi, addressing the G7 interior
ministers' meeting.
"We must not find ourselves unprepared and we must hone our
ability to intervene", noted Piantedosi. (ANSA).
