(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 6 - Italian two-time and reigning MotoGP
champ Francesco Bagnaia won the Japanese MotoGP Sunday cutting
Spaniard Jorge Martin's lead in the riders' championship
standings to just 10 points.
Martin same second.
Bagnaia, who scored his eighth victory this season, had also won
the sprint race.
"I'm super happy, I earned 11 points this weekend, I'm very
happy", said Bagnaia.
"Today Jorge (Martin, ed.) was very fast and I tried to manage,
the first 10 laps were incredible - he added referring to the
race that saw him in the lead since the first lap - now we're
thinking about the next race trying to continue like this with
the same strategy". (ANSA).
