(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 7 - Rome Chief Rabbi Riccardo Di Segni
during a ceremony on Monday to mark the first anniversary of the
deadly Hamas attacks in Israel said "what happened on October 7
is not for us an isolated episode but the continuation of a
story under new forms, but always with the same meaning - the
expression of blind and senseless hatred that often leaves us
alone".
"International organizations that should be bipartisan have
become a sounding board for grim antisemitic prejudice, using
double standards.
"It must be clear that this is not about defending Jews, who
have to watch their back these days, but democracy itself", said
Di Segni. (ANSA).
