Mattarella tells Coldiretti not to be afraid of the new

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 8 - President Sergio Mattarella told Coldiretti not to be afraid of the new at a ceremony in Rome marking the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the farm group Tuesday.
    "We must not be afraid of the new. Reversing the usual image, we do not need old wine, either in wineskins or in new times," he said.
    "This is true for climate change. We need recipes, updated solutions, with the same foresight that allowed us to face, with the means of the time, the (postwar) rebirth of the country.
    "If the Fathers of the Republic, the Fathers of Coldiretti, had looked back, where would they have taken us? Where would we be today? We are indebted to them and urged by their experience to have the same foresight", added Mattarella. (ANSA).
