OnlyFans star accused of dodging 1.5mn in taxes

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 8 - A 29-year-old Romanian-Italian OnlyFans star has been accused of evading 1.5 million euro in taxes in Italy.
    Madalina Ioana Filip, whose sex performing handle is Mady Gio, grew up in the Varese area since she was 12, has been resident in the Swiss city of Lugano for about three years but still has her tax residence in Cassano Magnago near Varese, Italian tax cops say.
    "I have always paid taxes both in Italy and in Switzerland", said the influencer and content creator for adults, who has one and a half million followers on Instagram.
    But the Guardia di Finanza finance guards said that "once the appropriate verification activity was started, the founding elements of an actual tax residence abroad were found to be missing".
    In particular, they said, "her current account and web domain were all located in Italy".
    OnlyFans is an internet content subscription service based in London.
    The service is used primarily by sex workers who produce pornography, but it also hosts the work of other content creators, such as physical fitness experts and musicians.
