Meloni wants to stop migrants using SIM cards - Sanchez

(ANSA) - MADRID, OCT 9 - Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said Wednesday that Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni wants to deny asylum seekers to right to use SIM cards for mobile telephones.
    "Do you want to take away the right to buy a SIM for a cell phone from a Colombian or Ecuadorian migrant who has been denied their asylum request?," Sanchez said to the opposition, centre-right People's Party during a parliamentary debate.
    "Because this is what the Italian government is proposing with the migration policy that you admire so much: taking away from a vulnerable migrant even the possibility of speaking to her family and letting them know about her situation!". (ANSA).
