(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 9 - Italy's truckers won't be hit by a
government hike of diesel duties to bring them into line with
petrol duties, Economy Minister Giancarlo Gioregtti said
Wednesday.
"Truck drivers have a specific discipline and are not affected
by the so-called alignment," he said during a speech to the
House on the Strategic Budget Plan.
Road haulage operators had threatened to strike over the move.
