(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 19 - Defence Minister Guido Crosetto on
Saturday opened a G7 defence meeting in Naples sending a "strong
and robust message to those trying to hinder our democratic
systems".
"The connection that keeps us united is solid and is based on
the common values of freedom and on unconditional confidence in
international law", Crosetto told G7 defence ministers.
Crosetto also said that "the brutal aggressions of Russia in
Ukraine and the extremely critical situation in the Middle East,
combined with the deep instability of sub-Saharan Africa and
increasing tensions in the Indo-Pacific, shed light on a
deteriorated security framework with perspectives for the future
that can't be positive". (ANSA).
