(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 19 - Operations to take migrants rescued
in the Mediterranean to newly opened Italian-run centres in
Albania will continue regularly, government sources said
Saturday.
The sources said no suspension has been ordered after a Rome
court did not validate the detention of a first group of 12
foreigners at a hosting and repatriation centre Italy has opened
in Gjader, Albania.
The migrants were taken to Albania as part of a protocol signed
by the Italian and Albanian governments.
The next arrival of an Italian navy vessel carrying rescued
migrants at the port of Shenjin will depend on weather
conditions in the coming days, the sources said. (ANSA).
