(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 20 - Carabinieri police carrying out a
number of rescue operations in flood-hit Emilia-Romagna on
Sunday were also forced in a number of cases to intervene to
send away people taking selfies near overflowing rivers and
streams.
Officers said in that in areas around Reggio Emilia and in
particular in Castelnuovo di Sotto, Carabinieri police had to
send away several people who were close to the river banks in
spite of an official warning to stay away from rivers and
shelter in place issued by regional authorities.
